Another visit with the doctor

Well everyone, I saw the doctor again yesterday. He's says all is well with the baby. My blood pressure was slightly elevated, but not too bad. He's pretty sure we are going to hang in there until the 10th as long as my blood pressure stays about the same and there are only traces of protein present. Just wanted to keep everyone posted. Hope everyone is doing well!
Richie wants me to put some baby bed pictures on here for those of you who haven't seen what it looks like. I think it's absolutely adorable!

3 More Weeks

I tried to talk the doctor into taking Buddy early, but he just won't do it (he'd change his mind if he had to carry around this belly!). As of today, we are at 35 1/2 weeks (3 more weeks til the c-section) and "little" Buddy is estimated to weigh 7 lbs 2 oz. Any guesses as to what he'll weigh when he's born?

He's giving the "thumbs up" to let all of us know that he's doing well!!!

A tribute

As the time grows near for the birth of little Allen Edward "Buddy" Nichols - the doctor has scheduled the c-section for May 10 @ 7:30 AM - we just wanted to remind everyone of the special man he will be named after. Richie's grandpa meant the world to him, I have heard many stories about the positive influence he had in his life and the love he & Grandma showed to Richie growing up. They were there for him when most would have thrown up their hands & said "I quit!" I want to thank them both for the man that he has become. Without him, my life wouldn't feel complete.
